Prom Photos During Coronavirus

With COVID-19 turning our world upside down, we’ve had to adapt to a new normal. This has never been more true for high students, in particular upperclassmen. The typical prom experience doesn’t look the same for the class of 2020, many are getting creative with socially distant or double bubble alternatives.

If your prom was canceled, get all dressed up and celebrate anyway!

Many senior students have opted into a prom-like experience. Smaller groups of students get dressed up, pose for photos, gather for intimate dinner and party at a friend’s house.

If you’re in the greater Nashville area and interested in prom photos for your group, contact me or give me a call at (949) 933-7313. I’d love to work with you!

I recently photographed a group of students at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN. The small group gathered near the large barn for stunning photos during golden hour.

With a large group, I normally need to stand far enough away to get everyone in the frame. Maintaining a 6-foot distance was easy!

My favorite photos often happen between giving posing guidance and organic moments.

With a mixture of portraits, I was able to capture the couples, all the girls, all the guys and the larger group together.

Being an extroverted introvert, I love engaging and then observing. This group wanted direction, but had fun spending time with one another. I love the “in between” moments.

With so much going on in the world, it felt nice to do something “normal.” Prom doesn’t have to be canceled because of coronavirus, you just have to get creative!
